Dr. Christian Schmidt, Senior Scientist in Section 3.3: Chemistry and Physics of Earth Materials, has been elected a Fellow of the Mineralogical Society of America (MSA).

Dr. Christian Schmidt, Senior Scientist in Section 3.3: Chemistry and Physics of Earth Materials, has been elected a Fellow of the "Mineralogical Society of America“ (MSA). The requirement for a MSA Fellowship is a scientific results that has significantly promoted mineralogy, crystallography, petrology, geochemistry or a related science. The latest GFZ scientist to be bestowed with this honour was Prof. Dr. Monika Koch-Müller, also Section 3.3.
