Internal consulting at the GFZ also includes all questions regarding the validation of technologies. This means the further development of an early research result – often still untested or close to basic research – to a higher level of technology maturity.

We are happy to advise on the optimal validation strategy in the context of suitable exploitation strategies and with regard to possible funding programs. We are also available as a point of contact if technologies are to be developed to a more mature stage together with business or other partners in practice. This also applies to interested parties from business or society – please feel free to contact us.

Possible funding programs in the area of validation, some of which already include external cooperation partners, are:

• Helmholtz validation programs (temporary) – see also our current validation project RIM2D
   
• StaF guideline of the state of Brandenburg to strengthen application-oriented research
• VIP+ funding (without the participation of commercialization partners)
• ZIM funding (with the participation of at least one SME)
• Calls for proposals from the federal agencies SPRIND and DATI
• Specialist programs of various federal and state ministries
• EU programs for cooperation or innovation (EIC)
