Zero-Length Spring Relative Gravity Meter – gPhoneX
Principle of Operation
The gPhoneX by Micro-g LaCoste is based on the patented LaCoste & Romberg zero-length spring suspension system. It is an advanced version of the G-Meter with significant improvements:
- An optimized dual-oven thermal system for highly precise temperature stability.
- A true vacuum enclosure, making the instrument completely insensitive to buoyancy changes caused by atmospheric fluctuations.
- The Aliod beam nulling system, enabling high-precision digital gravity measurements with a resolution of 0.1 microGal.
These enhancements make the gPhoneX an exceptionally stable and accurate relative gravimeter for long-term geophysical measurements.
Manufacturer: Micro-g LaCoste
The section Hydrology operates four systems of this type (gPhoneX 141, 149, 151, 152).
