Function and Responsibilities:

• engineer in section 3.6 geomicrobiology
• development of equipment and materials for all kinds of fieldwork and laboratory tasks
• modification of methods for best practice investigations in geomicrobiology
• radiation safety officer 

Research Interests:

• contamination control and other quality checks during drilling operations and other sampling procedures
• interpretation of raw sensor data and possible errors during digital data processing
• measurement of microbial turnover rates using radiotracer experiments
