Function and Responsibilities:
Scientist/Postdoc (Isotope Geochemist)
Research Interests:
Stable isotope analysis of light elements using Orbitrap mass spectrometry (including position-specific isotope analysis (PSIA) and determination of clumped isotopes amongst others) with a goal of establishing new methodologies and theories for existing/novel biomarkers and proxies used in e.g., physiology, (paleo)environmental reconstructions.
- Decipher stable isotope effects via CSIA, PSIA, and clumped isotopes
- Develop and validate advanced methodologies and theories for stable isotope analysis and models
- Orbitrap mass spectrometry
- Proxies for physiology and (paleo) environmental reconstructions
- Fates of environmental contaminants; environmental forensics
