DMG Section Meeting Geochemistry & Petrology/Petrophysics

The event on 6 and 7 June at the GFZ offers the opportunity to present exciting current research activities from the sections and to discuss them in an interdis-ciplinary scientific manner.

The joint annual meeting of the DMG Sections Geochemistry and Petrology/Petrophysics will take place from June 6 to 7, 2025 at the GFZ Helmholtz Centre for Geosciences in Potsdam. The event offers the opportunity to present exciting current research activities from the sections and to discuss them in an interdisciplinary scientific manner. In particular, young scientists (PhD students, postdocs and master students) are invited to present their current projects and previous research results. We welcome contributions from all areas of petrology and geochemistry and look forward to a fruitful scientific and personal exchange.

Please sign up for your attendance until May 5th 2025, by using the registration form. It is not necessary to upload an abstract.

Venue
The meeting will take place on the Telegrafenberg of the GFZ Helmholtz Center for Geosciences in Potsdam in lecture room 1-3, house H. The site plan can be found here: Site plan GFZ

Registration: Friday June 6, 2025 from 12:30 pm in House H/Foyer.
Friday: Start 14:00 with presentations, poster session from approx. 16:30 followed by BBQ.
Saturday: Start 9:00 lectures, end around 17:00 with awards for the best posters and lectures.
Interested parties have the opportunity to take part in a guided tour of the laboratory.

Costs
In order to cover the costs of meals, a contribution towards expenses of 40 euros in cash will be charged at the time of registration on site.

External student DMG members can apply for a travel allowance of up to 100 euros on presentation of proof of their student membership.
